About me

I am an experienced licensed therapist specializing in supporting high school–aged teens, young adults, and women experiencing anxiety or depression related to significant life changes or transitions.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master of Education in Counseling from the University of St. Thomas and a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Houston. For more than 15 years, I have supported young people and their families in two major Houston area school districts, and I have worked with adults in both private practice and clinical settings, including the Family Enrichment Clinic and Texas Psychiatry Group.

Now established in private practice, I focus on supporting high school teens, young adults, and women as they navigate life transitions or experience changes that trigger anxiety, depression, grief, and loss. As a native Texan and bilingual counselor, I offer services in English and can confidently support Spanish speaking clients. My goal is to create a compassionate, grounded space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to move toward meaningful change.

I enjoy working with high school teens and young adults as they develop self‑esteem, healthy mindsets, and meaningful relationships. I also work closely with women navigating the mind‑body connection related to gynecological challenges such as infertility, PCOS, endometriosis, and menopause. I offer traditional in‑office and virtual sessions, as well as a non‑traditional Walk & Talk Nature‑Based Therapy option (not covered by insurance) for those who feel most grounded outdoors.

My approach to therapy is client‑centered and rooted in research‑supported modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution‑Focused approaches. I see myself as a facilitator — someone who walks alongside you as you reflect, accept, adjust, or create new ways of being. In our work together, you can expect to feel heard, seen, validated, and at times gently challenged in a safe, non‑judgmental space. My hope is that you leave each session with a deeper understanding of the barriers contributing to your struggles and the tools to build a healthier, more fulfilling path forward.

Lastly, I offer Shinrin‑Yoku, or forest therapy, as a certified Forest Therapy Guide through the Forest Therapy School. This wellness practice invites you to slow down, reconnect with nature, and cultivate mindfulness that supports both mental and physical well‑being. Forest therapy can be experienced individually, as a couple, in small groups, or with corporate teams seeking a restorative, grounding experience. It is not covered by insurance.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my profile. I look forward to connecting with you.
