About me

The couch is comfy, come share your story with me!

Your life is your story. Conflicts with others and ourselves can leave us overwhelmed by feelings of stress, anxiety, anger, vulnerability, or despair. The various challenges you face during times of conflict may require extra help and support from outside of yourself.

I am here to help. As a counselor, I provide a safe and open environment for individuals seeking some extra support to work through the times of conflict in their story. During our time together you will experience a non-judgmental, comfortable space where you are heard, accepted, and encouraged while sharing your story. We will laugh, cry, fume, and celebrate this time in your life. You will learn how to manage your overwhelming emotions, adjust unhealthy thoughts/behaviors that impede your progression through life, lighten the heavy load of stress on your body/spirit, and better understand yourself.

I enjoy working with pre-teens, adolescents, and adults in my practice. Sessions are offered online or for those living in the Midland/Odessa Texas area, I offer in-person appointments. My counseling services are based on the belief in the importance of the client-counselor connection, understanding that each person is an expert on themselves, offering unconditional acceptance as well as providing genuine empathy to all clients.

Client concerns I have treated include anxiety, depression, grief/loss, trauma, ketamine treatment assistance, panic/panic attacks, caregiver stress, terminal illness, health changes, relationship conflicts, abuse, self-discovery/life purpose, gender identity, sexuality, self-esteem, body image, eating concerns, spirituality, suicidal ideation, impulsive behaviors, abandonment, and medication compliance.

Like you, my story is filled with conflict experiences. Widowhood, raising an elementary age child, depression/anxiety/ADHD diagnoses, moving from where I was raised in the Dallas-Ft Worth area to Midland in West Texas, caregiver for elderly bipolar parent and family members with cancer and Alzheimer’s disease, childhood trauma, just to name a few. These experiences, my joy of people, and my fascination with human emotional beings is what led me to the field of counseling.

Feel free to contact me with questions, concerns, or to reserve your spot on the couch!
