About me
I enjoy working with young adults and adults from diverse cultural backgrounds. My approach is collaborative and supportive—I work together with clients to explore their unique mental health challenges, understand difficult emotions and their sources, and replace unhelpful thought patterns with more positive, empowering perspectives.
I am a bilingual, independent clinical social worker with a background in public health and more than 18 years of experience in both physical and mental health care. Over the past seven years, my focus has been on providing mental health therapy to individuals seeking meaningful change and personal growth.
In my practice, I work collaboratively with clients to deepen their self-awareness, explore the emotional and relational aspects of their experiences, and identify patterns in thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that influence daily life. My goal is to empower clients to build effective coping skills, navigate life’s challenges with confidence, and enhance their overall well-being.
I am fluent in Amharic and offer therapy in both English and Amharic to best support the needs of my clients.
