I am a nationally board-certified and provisionally licensed counselor working with adults in both Denver and Boulder, Colorado. I provide my clients with individual psychotherapy, both in-person and virtually, and work with adults of all ages. My Denver office is located near I-25 and Speer. My Boulder office is located on Arapahoe Ave. Free parking is available at both locations.
I wasn't always a therapist – I have worked in the Fortune 500 world and have also owned my own small business. In fact, I have nearly three decades of practical experience and hard-earned insights that I bring to every conversation. You’ll experience a fresh perspective through calming conversation, appropriate challenging, and gentle humor.
My counseling style is relaxed and conversational. Clinically speaking, I take an integrative approach. That means I believe in drawing from a wide field of psychological theories and therapeutic techniques. Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solutions Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Gestalt, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) are some of my favorites. If you’re suffering from past trauma, or post-traumatic stress syndrome (PTSD), I am also trained in EMDR therapy.
My goal is to help you identify what’s troubling you, and to guide you to the changes you desire by exploring the feelings, experiences, and blind spots that may be holding your back from making progress. You’ll also find I’m someone who cares about helping in a way that isn’t canned, formulaic, or pushy. Session by session, we’ll work together to get at the root of your problems and guide you to the changes you desire.
