About me
With more than 30 years of public service and a lifelong commitment to helping others heal, I bring both clinical expertise and human understanding to every session. My approach is grounded in compassion, authenticity, and a belief that healing begins with being truly heard.
My journey began in the U.S. military, where I served as a medic in hospitals and clinics nationwide. Those experiences—seeing the realities of trauma, loss, anxiety, and depression—ignited my passion for mental health and inspired my pursuit of clinical counseling.
After my service, I spent over two decades in crisis intervention, supporting individuals and families through their most difficult moments. Those years reinforced a truth I still carry into my counseling practice today: empathy, patience, and active listening can transform lives.
Today, as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I bring together decades of service, training, and lived experience into every session. I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, and I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Psychology—continuing to deepen my understanding of how people heal and grow.
I believe therapy is a collaborative journey—a space built on trust, authenticity, and hope. When we meet, you become my focus. My role is to walk beside you, helping you feel grounded, reassured, and empowered as you navigate life’s challenges.
My approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and shaped by a holistic understanding of mind, body, and spirit. We’ll work together to explore how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interact—and how you can use that awareness to create meaningful, lasting change.
Through practical tools, reflective insight, and compassionate support, I help clients strengthen resilience, rediscover balance, and move toward emotional well-being.
Let’s begin your journey toward healing—one step, one conversation at a time.
