About me
Therapy is where people bring all of their different pieces together - without criticism or judgement. As a counselor, I have dedicated myself to creating a space that welcomes your authentic personality, your struggles, your wins, and most importantly your dreams. We will be collaborators in the work of reaching your goals. I specialize in bringing liberation, culture, joy, and social power perspectives into therapy, offering services for dealing with anxiety, grief, major life changes, family conflict, and struggling with their identity.
I am a Carolina native, who spent her childhood on her family’s small farm. It was here that she developed an interest in people and how our connection to our communities shapes our life. This interest pushed her toward counseling, as she recognized the importance of spaces that allow people to thrive as their authentic selves with dignity and respect to their being. I believe in the unlimited power that exists within each person for change. There is an abundance of wisdom that is often overlooked by our own insecurities or visions of what “good” “successful” or even “happy” looks like - when wisdom tells us that our version of all these things is within us, if only we allow it to emerge.
B Balanced Counseling and Wellness is a practice that valuse inclusivity, creativity, and the complete picture of clinical and holistic health. We are passionate about continually building a space that welcomes individuals of any ethnicity, orientation, gender, and background to feel safe, cared for, and respected. Through collaborative support, our diverse team uses a variety of modalities and methods to help you achieve your unique goals. We are deeply rooted in our community connections, recognizing the importance of overall clinical mental health and well-being. Emphasizing a 360-degree integrative approach, our practice is grounded in authenticity, valuing genuine human connections. With quick access to care and scheduling flexibility, we ensure timely and comprehensive support. As part of our commitment to you, we integrate extensive clinical exploration and organic creativity to guide you on your mental health journey.
