About me
Clients can expect a supportive therapeutic relationship that fosters confidence, empowerment, and meaningful change. I believe the connection between client and therapist is one of the most important elements of effective treatment, and I strive to ensure you feel comfortable, encouraged, and supported throughout our work together. Through collaboration, I will help you discover that changing the way you think can truly transform the way you feel—opening the door to positive, lasting change in your life.
One of my greatest strengths is building a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship with my clients. I believe meaningful progress begins with developing rapport and meeting clients where they are, moving at a pace that feels safe and supportive. I approach each person with empathy and understanding, honoring their experiences without judgment and without pressure to change before they feel ready.
Michelle has an extensive background in both mental health and addictions counseling, with several years of experience working in outpatient and inpatient treatment settings. Her approach to therapy is client-centered, with a strong focus on acceptance, compassion, and support to help individuals reach their full potential. She frequently incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize and shift unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that influence mood and emotions, creating space for positive and meaningful change.
Michelle works with individuals facing addiction, co-occurring disorders, anxiety, low self-esteem, confidence challenges, and codependency. She supports clients in developing healthy coping skills, emotional regulation strategies, and a stronger sense of self-worth, empowering them to move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
