I am an experienced therapist who is dedicated to helping people learn skills that will help them improve the quality of their life.

I recognize that life can be challenging. I am here to help make it less difficult by teaching you skills to cope with and manage stressors. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Illinois. I obtained my Bachelors Degree from Purdue University and my Masters Degree in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I have been working in the field of psychology for over eleven years.
I spent the beginning of my professional years working in a community mental health setting where I facilitated group therapy and delivered individual therapy to adults with chronic mental health issues. In 2015, I started to focus my career on assisting individuals struggling with drug addiction who were involved in the legal system by helping to develop and implement a county Drug Court Program. While I worked with this program, I also began my career in private practice. Since then I have had over six years of experience working in private practice where I specialize in treating mood disorders, substance abuse, grief, anger, relational conflict, and life transitional issues.
I understand that therapy can be intimidating or difficult to initiate. I strive to create a comfortable, safe and supportive environment for clients to engage in the therapeutic process. I aim at empowering individuals to address problem areas in their lives and improve their quality of their lives. I combine evidence-based treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Client-Centered Therapy. I currently treat individual clients ages 13 and up as well as couples.
