About me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the Commonwealth of Virginia with a focus on helping people navigate life's difficulties.
With the belief that anyone, in any situation, can benefit from therapeutic interventions, I draw from a number of theoretical perspectives. I base my work from a strength-based and client-centered perspective, with evidence-based practices guiding treatment. My approach is trauma-informed, and meant to help people build greater self-compassion, and emotional resilience. The goal is to support you as you process through life’s difficulties in a safe, and non-judgmental space. I believe that people do not need to be "fixed," as they are not broken or wrong. People have a myriad of events happen to them, often compounding over the years; my role is to walk alongside as you reconnect with your values and true self.
While everyone has the ability to benefit from therapy, ultimately each person will have varying results based on the therapeutic relationship, and their level of investment in the process. My hope is that each person would be able to walk away from therapy feeling more in control of their life.
