About me
I am an licensed mental health counselor passionate about helping others through the storms and challenges in life. I know from personal experience how important having someone you can trust to walk beside you can be, just to be present and not judge.
I have over eight years of working with survivors of domestic violence and sexual trauma. I also have 38 years of experience as a registered nurse and am familiar with the toll chronic illness and pain can take. I approach my clients with a gentle and client-centered approach, and allow the client to help guide their journey. I am trained in EMDR and have used this evidence-based approach for the past five years, along with CBT, DBT, parts work, body-based interventions all combined with a knowledge of how trauma of any kind can affect the mind, body and spirit. As not all relationships in life are not a good fit, the therapeutic relationship is no different. I offer a free consultation to new clients that are curious to meet me before deciding to commit to a therapist.
