About me
Your mental health is important to you, your family, and to me. In order to provide the best service I can, I have in person, virtual, evening and weekend appointments available. I will also respond to your initial call or email within 24 hours. I am trained in EMDR, DBT, and cognitive behavioral therapy. I also use Gottman related techniques in my work with couples.
Hi there. And thanks for your interest in working with me. Please let me introduce myself. I’m Mike. Not only am I a counselor, but I’m also a husband, a father, a stepfather, and a retired US Navy veteran. I hold a Master’s degree in social work from Arizona State University and a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Maryland University College. My clinical experience includes helping people work through many different issues, including anxiety, substance use/abuse, depression, PTSD, sexual trauma, and anger issues. I have also successfully worked with couples who are trying to keep their relationship together as well as those who want to find ways to effectively coparent after a relationship is over.
