About me
It's taken modern psychology about 150 years to catch up to what Eastern traditions have known for millenia -- that mindfulness brings peace, that our thoughts are not necessarily true, and definitely not "us." That the body has its own soure of intelligence, hard-wired to something bigger and more profound that what we think of as "me." You've heard it said that all the answers are inside you. Together, we'll find them.
When you work with me, you need to be ready to hear things that will blow your mind. Things that make you see, feel, and experience your world differently. This is a good thing, because the way you're doing it now isn't working anyway, I'm guessing, or you wouldn't be reading this. If you're looking for a cheeerleader, I'm not your guy. If you're a deep thinker, or a deep feeler, looking for a way out of the rut you're stuck in and willing to do some work, let's get started. I help individuals and couples get "unstuck," make positive change, and understand themselves and their situation better. Differently. With more acceptance, less resistance, and therefore more peace. Does peace sound good? Because happiness comes and goes, and constantly grasping for it is unsatisfying at best. But you can always be at peace if you want to.
I don't provide bandaids or patch you up and ship you out. And I'm not here to "fix you." I'm here to help you learn how to fix yourself. My hope is it won't be long before you don't need me, or people like me. Then you can put your best self forward in the world, and see the world respond differently to you.
