About me

I am a marriage and family therapist that works with couples and families to help them overcome their communication challenges.

I am a marriage and family therapist that works with couples and families to help them overcome their communication challenges. I specialize in helping couples and families navigate one of the most stressful and often unspoken challenges in relationships—financial strain. Money issues can create tension, conflict, and distance, but they don’t have to define your relationship. Together, we’ll work to understand what’s happening and develop practical, lasting solutions that fit your family. I am also extremely capable at helping with the additional relationship struggles of couples & families.

I also work extensively with couples in premarital therapy, helping you build a strong foundation before marriage. We’ll address communication, expectations, finances, and future planning so you feel confident moving forward together.

With over 17 years of experience as a marriage and family therapist, I focus on helping you not just talk about problems—but actually make meaningful changes. I use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy to help you better understand your patterns, shift unhelpful thinking, and take clear, actionable steps toward improvement.

My approach is collaborative and practical. Every couple and family is different, and my goal is to help you find solutions that work for your unique situation—not a one-size-fits-all approach.

If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or caught in recurring conflict, you don’t have to figure it out alone. Change is possible, and we can work toward it together. My goal is to help you see measurable progress—not just talk about problems.

My approach to therapy is collaborative, practical, and focused on meaningful change. I believe therapy should feel supportive, engaging, and helpful—not like you’re stuck talking in circles.

I use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy to help you better understand patterns in your thoughts, behaviors, and relationships, while also working toward clear, actionable solutions. We’ll focus on the issues that are causing the most stress and develop strategies that you can begin using right away.

Just as important as the techniques we use is the relationship we build. Feeling comfortable, understood, and supported is essential for progress. I encourage clients to pay attention to how they feel in therapy—if you don’t feel a sense of connection or forward movement, it’s important to address that.

My goal is to create a space where you feel supported, challenged when needed, and confident that you’re making real progress.

Choosing a therapist is like taking a test drive. If within 2 sessions you aren't feeling supported & connected it is time to fire the therapist and get a new therapist. Do not feel obligated to stay with a therapist you are not making progress with. Remember you are paying for these services. My goal is to give you everything I can to support you.

The first session is focused on getting to know you and understanding what’s bringing you in. We’ll talk about your current concerns, your goals for therapy, and any patterns or challenges you’ve been experiencing. There’s no pressure to share everything all at once—this is a space to move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

I’ll also ask some questions to help me understand your background and what you’d like to change or improve. From there, we’ll begin identifying areas we can start working on and outline a clear direction for moving forward.

I believe the best option for therapy is the one that is most comfortable for you the client. I offer in-home therapy & Telehealth therapy.

Often when going through therapy there comes a time when 1 hour sessions are no longer needed. At that time I offer shorter sessions and the cost is reduced for those sessions based on length of time needed.
