About me
I am a somatic focused trauma therapist who helps people find greater safety and ease within their bodies and the present moment.
I work with clients who are recovering from negative or traumatic relationships, people on the ADHD-ASD spectrum, and people struggling with dissociative states. I work well with people wanting to build a strong sense of self and strengthen their agency and intuition after trauma, as well as people who want to learn to work with their bodies to balance their emotions and feel more empowered, present, safe and liberated. I am an anti-oppression, HAES informed therapist, and I am affirming of LGBTQIA+, kinky, poly, and neurodiverse realities.
I use IFS-informed parts work, somatic-focused therapy and EMDR in a strengths-based, person centered way. I think of myself as being primarily a relational therapist in the way I use these tools, meaning that we experiment within a safe, nurturing therapeutic relationship to familiarize yourself with your strengths and resources. I affirm neurodiversity.
If you want someone who you can be brave with at your pace, who can help you move toward the pain with courage and care, but you also want someone who has some personal familiarity with C-PTSD recovery, who will temper the heaviness with well-timed silliness and laughter, and have loud faith in your goodness and probably swear a fair bit, I could be a great fit for you.
