About me
Hi! I’m Melody, a Gottman Level 2-trained associate therapist who is passionate about supporting individuals, couples, and families through big life changes, challenges with planning and focus, and building strong relationships that honor differences like ADHD and other neurodiversity.
I earned my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University and completed both Level 1 and Level 2 Gottman Method Couples Therapy training. I support individuals, couples, and families through life transitions, executive‑functioning challenges, and navigating the unique dynamics of neurodiverse relationships. Whether you’re launching a new career, adjusting to parenthood, creating routines that work for ADHD, or deepening your connection with a partner, I’m here to help you find clarity, build practical habits, and nurture meaningful bonds.
My approach combines proven couples‑therapy techniques with emotion‑focused work and storytelling exercises. I understand the unique strengths and struggles that come with different cultural backgrounds, especially the Hispanic experience. In our sessions, we’ll use the Gottman Method to strengthen communication and trust, Narrative Therapy to reshape unhelpful stories, and Emotionally Focused Therapy to tap into deeper emotions. I also draw on systems theory and attachment principles to explore how your relationships—with family, friends, or colleagues—influence your everyday life.
In our sessions, you’ll find a warm, judgment‑free space where we’ll uncover what’s holding you back, celebrate your wins, and create simple, practical steps to boost your confidence and resilience. We’ll set clear, achievable steps—whether that’s designing a morning routine you can stick to, practicing tough conversations without the overwhelm, or using simple mindfulness tools to stay grounded. I partner with you to celebrate every win, learn from setbacks, and build the confidence you need long after our sessions end.
If you’re ready to move from feeling stuck to feeling empowered and connected, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. Let’s get started!
