About me
As a licensed professional counselor, Melodie Whitmore is dedicated to providing counseling services designed to support women and young adults.
Maybe you’re the person everyone counts on—the one who keeps showing up, getting things done, and holding everything together. But underneath, you’re exhausted. Your mind won’t shut off, you’re harder on yourself than anyone else could be, or experiences from your past are still shaping how you see yourself and your relationships. Maybe alcohol or other substances have become one of the ways you’ve learned to cope. I work with adults and older adolescents navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and substance use. My approach is warm, collaborative, and individualized.
I’m not interested in squeezing you into a treatment formula or assuming I know your life better than you do. Together, we’ll understand what you’re struggling with, how you learned to cope, and what you want to be different now.
I draw from EMDR, person-centered, and solution-focused therapies to help you process what’s happened while building the life you want moving forward. You don’t need the right words or everything figured out before reaching out. You can show up exactly where you are, and we’ll figure out where we’re going together.
