About me
I am the founder & executive director of Stolsig Foundation and Turning Point Psychology Center, Inc. Both organizations provide virtual mental health services to communities in CA, CO, FL, NV, and NYS . We provide clients with a private HIPAA compliant client portal and are fully "paperless" practices. We strive to expand access to mental health services by having short term therapy tracks, providing groups, and offering sliding scale cash fees with our associates and new hybrid-independent therapy modules.
I am an EMDR Trained Psychologist who specializes in treating Chronic, Developmental & Attachment Trauma, managing psychological sequelae due to chronic medical conditions, and working with anxiety and depression with cultural curiosity and humility. I work with adults of any age using individual and group therapy interventions. I work best when the client is truly willing to engage in the therapeutic partnership to heal, grow or simply feel better. I am able to work with a variety of people from different populations due to my non-judgmental stance and curiosity about other people. I am adept at working with individuals who experience multiple problems simultaneously due to my willingness to work with other providers and supportive group/individual services.
I try to encourage less suffering and more contentment in my client's lives. I tend to target emotions in the present moment and I focus on understanding each individual's unique character defenses to create spaces for change. I provide compassion, empathy and meet clients where they are at.
Due to the nature of therapy, openings with Dr. Stolsig vary, though she works in a group practice and there are often other wonderful providers available at any given time. Dr. Stolsig also supervises clinicians preparing for licensure to provide additional opportunities for those in the community to indirectly benefit from her expertise.
