About me
I am an experienced Clinical Social Worker who helps individuals, couples and families find their strength as they work towards improved satisfaction in their daily lives.
Do you find yourself worrying more often? Or have you had trouble navigating life after bad things happen? Or even good things? I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 10+ years of experience working with teens, adults and families to support them during difficult times. My experience includes working with people who have experienced complex trauma, single incident trauma, people who have had engagement with the child welfare system including birth parents, foster parents and adoptive parents, and individuals and families in crisis settings who are dealing with suicidal ideation, seeking detox or experiencing acute mental health symptoms.
I can help individuals and families who are experiencing stress associated with trauma, adjustment to big life changes, overwhelming worries, or sadness using strategies that can ground you and help you find your path forward. Let's work together to help you find meaning and satisfaction in your every day life, even when things are hard.
We will start by identifying your strengths, needs and personal goals. I will listen with an open mind as you work towards healing and wellness. Using my training in evidenced based practices listed below, we will use treatments that fit your needs. Specific treatment modalities that I will use when appropriate include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Motivational Interviewing, Behavioral Activation, Cognitive Processing Therapy (for PTSD), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness strategies.
Searching for help is a difficult but brave step towards reaching your goals and taking back control of your life and I look forward to coming alongside you in your journey. If you have further questions, I also offer free 15 minute phone consultations.
