About me
I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who works with individuals coping with anxiety, depression, and challenging life transitions.
Melanie believes in the power of connection, resilience, and culturally responsive care in therapy. Whether you face life transitions, relational struggles, or emotional challenges, she is there to walk alongside you with empathy, understanding, and support. She works with individuals, adolescents, and families navigating difficulties with anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, perinatal, postpartum, infertility, and life transitions. As an Afro-Latina, Melanie works closely with the BIPOC community, LGBTQ folx, and Spanish-speaking clients.
Melanie primarily utilizes a person-centered approach. She has experience with various interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT).
Everyone's experiences are unique. You are not alone on this journey.
