About me
I am a clinical psychologist with 7 years of post-undergraduate clinical training and 16 years of experience. I specialize in treating adult depression, anxiety, and relationship issues as well as supporting overwhelmed parents. I help clients develop healthier relationships with others and learn how to experience more positive and balanced emotions. I always aim to provide a supportive, non-judgmental and welcoming space for people from all backgrounds, religions, ethnicities, sexualities, and identities. I work to be culturally responsive and sensitive to individual differences. I am an LGBTQIA2S+ ally and a social justice advocate. Schedule a consult today to talk with me about what’s going on and I’ll tell you how I think I can help!
If you’re emotionally overwhelmed, depressed, anxious and stressed, I look forward to supporting you… not only in providing a safe space to process everything that’s hard right now, but also to learn where you can take control in your life and make changes that will bring you closer to where you want to be. Life with work, kids, a partner, among everything else, can be both what you’ve always wanted and also be exhausting and leading to burn out. You know you need more balance in your life, but have difficulties putting yourself first. Your usual ways of dealing with bouts of depression and anxiety may have been working for you up to this point, but now the stressors have reached a tipping point and you need to get out of your cycle of emotional reactivity.
I am sincerely invested in providing a two-fold approach to each client in which we will: 1.) Process your inner experience to better understand your emotional world and learn what ways (conscious or subconscious) your patterns of relating to yourself and others may be interfering with your happiness and peace and, 2.) Learn skills to create new patterns of relating to yourself and others that better serve you, such as through cognitive restructuring (i.e., CBT skill to think in more balanced ways), and improving present moment awareness (i.e., mindfulness skill to cultivate a greater sense of well-being).
