About me
Are you feeling overwhelmed and need a safe space to process the stress and worries of life? Are there hurtful and frustrating relationships you need help navigating? Are you feeling hopeless, shut down, or "off?" Do you need dedicated time to heal from trauma in a lasting way?
We can work together towards lessening your anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief, so your pain can decrease and you can more fully live your life. Whether you are a parent, connected to the military, first responder, or individual, you have come to the right place. I provide compassionate, holistic therapy for individuals seeking strength, peace, and a path forward.
You will find me to be an empathic, warm, holistic, and insightful therapist. I will be with you in the pain and challenges as you make your way towards healing. You don’t have to navigate this journey alone.
I am a Mental Health Practitioner pursuing my Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) license. I received my Bachelor’s degree at University of Northwestern – St. Paul (formerly Northwestern College) and my Master’s degree at Bethel University in St. Paul, MN. Along with individual supervision, I attend a monthly supervision group and participate in consultations with colleagues. When you work with me you not only get my expertise but also several practitioners’ decades of knowledge.
I am trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART); in a nutshell, ART stimulates the brain’s amazing healing process through bilateral eye movement, similar to REM sleep, using hand movements. Since our bodies store trauma as images in the brain, ART can help with healing trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, addictions, phobias, etc. You can go to my Resources Page for a more in depth look at ART.
I have a background in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) which means there may be times we can discuss practical skills you can use right away. We can also balance skill work with going deeper, and I will sit with you and help you process hard emotions and memories.
When I’m not seeing clients, I’m spending time with friends and family, thrifting, building LEGO, playing board games, reading books, traveling, and participating in my own holistic journey.
I look forward to meeting you!
