About me
Hi, I’m Meg Maginn, LCSW—founder of Eating Disorder Associates and LifeWorks, an outpatient mental-health treatment center specializing in eating disorder treatment, trauma therapy, anxiety, depression, and co-occurring mental-health concerns. With more than 35 years of experience, I provide compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals, couples, families, and groups ages 10 through 85, helping clients turn insight into practical, meaningful, and lasting change.
I’m Meg Maginn, LCSW, a nationally recognized psychotherapist, life coach, and clinical supervisor with more than 35 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families heal from eating disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression, and complex emotional and relationship challenges. I specialize in eating disorders and disordered eating—including anorexia, bulimia, binge-eating disorder, ARFID, body-image concerns, and compulsive exercise—as well as co-occurring ADHD, OCD, anxiety, panic, depression, trauma, addiction, and relationship or family stress. My approach is warm, compassionate, nonjudgmental, and individualized, because I believe meaningful healing begins when you feel safe enough to share your story and are met with respect, understanding, and hope.
Over the years, I have found that many people already understand their patterns and know why they struggle—but still feel stuck when it comes to making lasting change. My work helps bridge that gap between insight and action. Drawing on neuroscience-informed and evidence-based approaches, including EMDR, NLP, mindfulness, guided imagery, hypnosis, somatic work, and skills-based therapy, I create personalized treatment plans that help clients move beyond survival patterns and build practical tools for recovery. As an Imago-trained couples therapist, Certified Divorce Mediator, and founder of a proprietary integrative mental-health method, I also support couples and families in improving communication, navigating conflict, repairing relationships, and making thoughtful decisions during times of transition. Whether you are seeking help for yourself or someone you love, you do not have to face these challenges alone—healing, self-trust, and a healthier path forward are possible.
