About me
My name is Maya and I have trained for many years in providing therapy to individuals, adolescents, groups, and occasionally couples in various settings. My experience has led me to connect with many individuals at different phases in their lives who wanted to change something but didn't know how. My approach is healing and client-centered, where I help my clients overcome depression and anxiety, trauma, loss/bereavement, suicidal behaviors, relationship issues, low self-esteem, difficulty regulating emotions, and coping skills.
Embarking on a therapy journey can be a big step in one’s life that can bring forth change to one's reality. I believe many people do not have the space to express themselves. You deserve to be seen; to be heard; and to create an environment where you can channel love and growth for your overall well-being. I make it my mission to meet clients with compassion and respect. I believe that the power of change is within all of us and this step is a testament to that journey.
I meet my client’s needs wherever they may be therefore, my approach changes. I utilize several evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and others, depending on one’s treatment goals.
