Dr. Lowe has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings and has specialty training in mood disorders, ADHD and other disruptive behavior disorders, PTSD, eating disorders, weight management, autistic disorders, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, group therapies, and anxiety disorders.
Dr. Lowe is board-certified in psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry, board-certified in obesity medicine by the American Board of Obesity Medicine, board-certified in Addiction Medicine by the American Board of Osteopathic Neurology and Psychiatry, is DBT-certified by the Evergreen Certification Institute, is certified by and is a Diplomat of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy, has completed Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and is a HeartMath Certified Biofeedback Professional. Dr. Lowe has also completed an MBA (Masters in Business Administration) degree from the Quantic School of Business & Technology and a certificate in healthcare management from Cornell University.
Dr. Lowe is the CEO and Chief Medical Officer for Providers for Healthy Living. He graduated from the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio. He then completed a general psychiatry residency and a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at The Ohio State University and Nationwide Children's Hospital. Dr. Lowe was an attending physician on the inpatient unit at OSU Harding Hospital and was the school psychiatrist at Nationwide Children's Hospital prior to forming Providers for Healthy Living.
Dr. Lowe is a preceptor for students in the physician assistant program at Ohio Dominican University and the psychiatric nurse practitioner program at The Ohio State University and teaches classes for the OSU Department of Psychiatry. He is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health.
