About me
I am an experienced therapist ready to help you resolve past hurts, overcome depression and anxiety, and create the life you deserve.
Stepping out into therapy is a bold move, demonstrates inner strength, and a desire to be the best you can be for yourself and those around you. It is an investment in yourself, and a sacred gift to your own happiness and growth. I seek to provide the space for you to be totally open and safe, while trusting that your personal information will be protected by the highest professional standards. My job is to listen, help you identify what you sincerely want, and create a plan to help you get there. Sometimes that is just to have someone sit with you and hear what you feel unsafe to share elsewhere, I am here for that. Or, you may want a step by step plan to shift mindsets, and take actionable steps towards the life you want. I am here for that too.
I am an experienced therapist having worked with a diverse population ranging from at risk youth, couples and families, and individuals with severe mood and personality disorders to those simply looking to improve and optimize their lives. I gravitate toward Solution Focused, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and use an overall Person Centered approach informed by Family Systems theory.
In my personal life I enjoy the great outdoors, taking advantage of the beautiful hiking opportunities in my area as often as possible with my trusty dog Shalom. I am married with one child, the joys of my life. I love to experience uniques cultures, landscapes, and cuisines, and have lived for extended periods of time in Mexico, Colombia, China, the Middle East, and have travelled to many other locations. Though I am Christian by faith, I am open minded, knowledgeable, and respectful of all faith traditions, and will seek to incorporate, or not incorporate your faith perspectives as you desire.
Whatever your goals are in therapy, I hope that I can be present to partner with to achieve them. If you have gotten this far, you are ready to start the journey. Set up an appointment today, you will be happy to know you taking the first step.
