About me
Hi, I'm Matthew! I am a Professional Counselor Associate, and I offer individual counseling and am currently taking new clients. I work with adults and focus on those struggling with anxiety, depression, anger, life transitions, and grief. Come on by and say hi or book a free phone consult.
Are you struggling with big life transitions or feeling you're losing your sense of self? Maybe depression or anxiety is more common than not, and you could use a trusted mental health professional's support. I'm here to be an ally who can provide tools as you navigate these challenges, offer a space where you can safely explore and expand your perspectives, and help you develop greater flexibility in how you respond to whatever life throws your way. Drawing on your unique culture, identities, and experiences, I will work with you to cultivate a deeper awareness of your complexities and build a meaningful life.
My approach draws on a number of modalities, including Humanistic/Existential Therapy, which emphasizes your personal growth, your unique experience, and your search for meaning or contentment. I utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and DBT to provide an evidence-based approach that can provide relief for a variety of psychological concerns.
I became a therapist because I believe we can all find greater clarity and peace when we have the support, time, and space to explore and reflect on our existence. My goal is to make space for you to explore where you've come from, where you are, where you're going, and to collaborate with you to create a fulfilling, meaningful existence.
