About me
Hi, I'm Matthew Davis, LICSW, MLADC
I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and a Master Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor with over 10 years of experience helping adults navigate life’s challenges. I specialize in working with individuals facing depression, anxiety, and substance use disorders, and I’m passionate about supporting people on their journey toward healing and personal growth.
My therapeutic approach is compassionate, empathetic, and person-centered. I believe that each client is the expert of their own experience, and I strive to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered. I integrate evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to meet your unique needs and goals.
I’m here to walk alongside you—not in front of you—with a calm, grounded presence and the ability to be assertive when needed to help you move forward. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready for change, I'm here to help you take the next steps.
Outside of my work as a therapist, I enjoy playing music, going to concerts, and spending time with my dog. I believe in the importance of balance, creativity, and connection—both in and out of the therapy room.
