About me

You found the courage to ask for help, for yourself or your relationship. Way to go. Now let's get started!

I welcome adult individuals, couples, and adult family pairs to my practice. Anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship problems, and life transitions are just some of the struggles I look forward to helping you with.

You may be feeling stuck or in pain about some aspect of your life and are looking for help to move toward greater fulfillment. Talking to someone who understands the pain you feel-depression, anxiety, or feeling stuck-can relieve inner distress and give you a new perspective on your life.

I am empathic and experienced at providing a safe setting where we can explore what is causing you to feel anxious, distressed or dissatisfied. In therapy we work together to clarify the emotions that are holding you back or causing suffering. You can find new ways to see yourself and others, which leads to more meaningful relationships and a more fulfilling life.

Understanding feelings you have about yourself can be the key to clarifying troubling emotional states. These feelings can push us toward repetitive or self-destructive behaviors. Exploring these feelings can open you to new ways of thinking and behaving, leading to greater flexibility and better connections in your life.

For couples and adult family pairs (adult child/parent, siblings, etc.), we uncover deeply rooted problematic patterns that are interfering with feeling fulfilled in your relationship. I help clarify current coping strategies, and provide you with new ways of communicating that can help heal emotional wounds.

As you look to find a psychotherapist you may wonder, what kind of therapist is best for me?

Perhaps most important to consider is whether the therapist conveys that they will provide both a safe environment for open discussion and that they will offer new understandings which can lead to the changes you want to make in your life. In therapy we will work together to define your areas of strength and struggle and help you move towards making the changes you want to make.
