About me
My goal is to build partnerships with my clients in a supportive and nonjudgmental environment. I specialize in working with adults, those aged 18 and above. I offer empathetic reassurances for challenges such as anxiety, stress, depression, grief and loss, family/ conflict relationships, low motivation, and trauma. It is my objective to create a therapeutic alliance where individuals feel understood, heard, and supported.
My expertise extends to helping individuals cope with depression, anxiety, and trauma stemming from abuse, grief, neglect, and loss. Counseling is my second career, after 15 years of working with students and families with disabilities in public education. I can offer empathy and insightful perspective for those working in the current school environment. I remain committed to lifelong learning. I aim to treat you holistically—mind, body, and spirit—as you pursue peace, happiness, and robust mental health. Acknowledging each person's unique experiences is crucial. I provide care that centers on the client, using evidence-based methods to enhance emotional well-being, relationships, and purposeful living. I value diversity in all its forms and enjoy supporting clients from various backgrounds, including those who are non-religious/spiritual. Additionally, I am open to incorporating biblical principles into therapy upon request.
