About me
Martin Beck here. As a compassionate therapist, I create a safe haven for personal growth. I empower clients to understand themselves deeply, nurture relationships, and overcome challenges. Together, we'll navigate your unique path to healing and self-discovery. I'm here to guide you on your transformative journey if you're seeking support.
Do you find that contemporary society can sometimes feel isolating and alienating? We all face challenges that leave emotional scars. Our successes can also cause stress and anxiety. But, if we always chase success and perfection, we may lose our true selves. Living in contradiction to our core values can lead to a loss of purpose and meaning. After 30 years as an artist, I became passionate about therapy. I had explored the human condition in my art. So, I pursued a master's in clinical social work. I aim to treat adults facing life changes or work, family, or health issues. I've trained and gained experience with clients who faced trauma. This includes caregiver abuse, neglect, intimate partner violence, and sexual assault. This focus allows me to help clients develop healthy boundaries in relationships.
I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness in my practice. I also use a mix of existential and psychodynamic techniques. For me, therapy is a journey with my clients, embarking on a unique path we create together. I absorb insights from clients and cherish our joint efforts. Creating a safe and non-judgmental space that fosters self-acceptance is my aim. I care about my clients. I am curious about their experiences. I will engage emotionally.
