About me
I am an empathic, experienced, and bilingual, licensed psychotherapist who is dedicated to helping people flourish into the best, authentic version of themselves. I consider the whole person — body, mind, and spirit, as the holistic approach on the journey to wellness.
My view on counseling is that it is a collaborative relationship where the process is tailored specifically to each person's needs at the time. It's important to allow space for all things in the counseling process, including humor, discomfort, joy, and challenge. When a person is in need of a safe and supportive place in their life or wanting to resolve deeper issues, I would provide a calm, open space for them to do that.
My holistic approach often combines person-centered, solution-focused, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and mindfulness elements. I approach each person with the awareness that we, as humans, thrive in connection with ourselves and others and that healing can come through that same connection. My therapeutic style can be described as genuine, collaborative, supportive, empathetically challenging, respectful, and non-judgmental.
My being committed to meeting my clients where they are and recognizing each person’s innate ability to know themselves and learn what is needed to heal and grow fuels my hope for my clients to connect with their needs/desires and experience changes in therapy that help them to feel more empowered, build a strong personal foundation of understanding, and to reconnect with what brings them peace.
