About me
My name is Mark and I live near Liverpool, UK. I am a BACP registered counsellor of over 12 years experience.
My training is Integrated counselling, which means I can use Person Centred, Psychodynamic, and CBT approaches in combination to suit individual presenting issues.
I value empathy, non-judgement and unconditional positive regard with all clients.
I am also informed by Carl Jung and the influence of the unconscious for positive change in our lives.
Having listened carefully to hundreds of clients, I have noticed that a great many people experience anxiety because they are not being the person they need to be - instead, they are being who feel they should be for other people - feeling they must live up to the expectations and judgements of others.
My approach is to help clients examine this if it should be significant, and listen to the real person. This can be liberating and the beginning of a journey of positive change. I look forward to beginning this journey with you.
