About me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, licensed in Georgia since 2019. For the last six years, my primary focus has been working with adult men and women in a residential treatment setting to help them recover from substance use disorders and get their lives back on track. Consequently I have assisted clients with a broad range of issues including stress, depression, anxiety, anger, self esteem issues, relationship issues, OCD, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, and Borderline Personality Disorder among others. If you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of how to move forward, I can help you regain control and build a more fulfilling life. If you’re seeking a compassionate, nonjudgmental space to work through these challenges, I would welcome the opportunity to help you create the life you desire.

After a 35-year career in Information Technology, I returned to college for a degree in mental health counseling and became a Licensed Professional Counselor. As a recovering individual myself, I feel deep empathy for others who are struggling to deal with life day-to-day and who may have picked up some less-than-optimal coping methods (i.e. problematic behaviors and/or addictions) along the way. I believe I am particularly well suited to assist from a non-judgmental perspective and I strive always to work with clients in a collaborative way. My theoretical orientation is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Reality Therapy, and Client-Centered Therapy. I utilize therapeutic interventions from these modalities as well as Dialectical Behavior Therapy, SMART Recovery, and 12-Step principles.
