Hi, I’m Marisa, LMHC. I’m really glad you’re here. Therapy with me is pretty down-to-earth. You can show up exactly as you are—messy thoughts, hard feelings, humor, frustration, all of it. I specialize in several areas, but mostly in various addictions such as substances, alcohol, codependency, sex and love, gambling, and more.

A lot of the people I work with feel exhausted by overthinking, boundaries that don’t hold, or patterns that don’t make sense anymore—especially around substances, coping habits, or relationships that feel hard to step out of. Sometimes it’s your own patterns, sometimes it’s what you’re dealing with in someone close to you. Either way, it can start to feel heavy and confusing.

I work with adults and families around addiction, anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship stress. My style is honest, warm, and practical. I use approaches like CBT, DBT, ACT, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy, but I don’t force a “method”; we use what actually fits you.

Starting therapy can feel like a lot. You’re talking to someone you don’t know about things you may have kept inside for a long time. My goal is to make that feel as safe and normal as possible, so you can actually breathe in the room and be yourself.
