Maria Luisa Trujillo

Hi, I am Luisa, a licensed counselor who had counsel people in Mexico first for a few years and now here in Texas. I've more than 10 years of experience in trauma therapy, play therapy, family and individual counseling, I have worked with children as young as three years old and older adults in their late seventies, and all ages in between. I believe in a holistic approach, integrating the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of one's life. I am trained in many modalities that I use in my practice, but one of the most important things that I do is create a safe space where you can explore and try new things in your healing journey.

It is my belief that everyone has everything they need to create the change they want in their lives; my job is to provide the right conditions to support them. Each one is the expert of their own life, and my expertise will simply help you on your path to wholeness.
I had been trained on TFCBT, EMDR, CCPT, and TFT and other modalities to use while working from a person-centered therapy approach.
Coming from a trauma-informed perspective, my work employs conversation and language as an agent of change. My clients teach me how to be the best therapist that I can be. With a little bit of insight and a little experience the client and the therapist can tackle all manner of issues both big and small.
