About me
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 12 years of experience helping clients achieve their true potential and overcome the challenges of everyday life, while utilizing holistic and evidence-based techniques. I have direct experience working with various populations: individuals, families, adults, adolescents, and children, and special needs families.
I help my clients navigate the anxiety of therapy, by helping them realize their true potential and overcoming the challenges of everyday life. My approach is integrative - utilizing EMDR and CBT, we collaboratively review your past memories, thoughts, feelings and behaviors, and incorporate somatic strategies to help you cope and overcome triggers and stressors.
If you are feeling hesitant about therapy or not sure where to even begin, know that you are not alone! This is completely normal, and we can talk about all your fears around therapy and strategize how to overcome them together. Hope to hear from you soon!
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our first session, we will review your intake paperwork and assessments that you completed prior to your appointment. We will then review some behavioral symptoms and talk about my suggestions and strategies. At this point, you can decide to move forward with the next session or wait and decide if you would like to proceed or receive a referral for another therapist. The goal is to ensure you are comfortable and feel confident I am the right fit for you!
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
Some of the areas or specialties I treat include (but not limited to): anxiety, depression, self-esteem, career counseling, grief/trauma, special needs family support, postpartum depression and many more! I like to incorporate evidence-based techniques in an integrative manner - focusing on what is best for each client versus trying to use what techniques are popular or mostly used.
Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.
