Send your prospective therapist a brief message about why you’re seeking support, your preference for in-person or telehealth services, and how you’d like to be contacted moving forward. Note: Answers to many common questions can be found on the therapist’s profile page. If this is an emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest hospital.
I am a passionate therapist committed to supporting individuals, couples and families to discover the space between their story and their resiliency.
Regardless of the times, the circumstance or the individual, building a relationship with trust, value and efficacy matters. I also believe that this can look different for everyone. Given that, it is important that prior to finding the right therapeutic approach that meets your specific needs, we must first develop a mutual understanding and rapport with one another that feels supportive in moving forward. Next, it will become our responsibility to listen and understand what it is you would like to address and what your goals are. Your voice, experiences, and perceptions will lead us through this process.
I have been trained in various different treatment models that are trauma informed, solution focused and client-centered. Although I enjoy working with a wide range of individuals, I specialize in working with families and couples to address breakdowns in communication and strengthening relationships. It has been my experience that as individuals, we do not have to have all the answers. However, what we do need at times is a brave space that allows for exploration of our thoughts and emotions- while being met with empathy, understanding and hope.
As far back as I can remember, I have wanted to help others. I remember the first time I was faced with the vulnerability in a persons’s eyes as a child, and trying to make sense of the pain in front of me. I have spent my life exploring what makes us human- our experiences, behaviors, tendencies and the vast number of emotions that have yet to be understood.
All through my education, training and experience working with clients, I have sought to better understand the common thread and how to best support as many individuals and their unique experiences. Each person is so different, and what they come to seek varies widely. However, I have found that when a person is met with empathy, understanding and a clinical understanding of the need they present, we are able to discover a sense of hope to better what may be holding them back.
I specialize in parenting support, relationship issues and individual growth. I utilize methods grounded in research to support these goals. More specifically, I have received trainings in trauma informed care and cognitive behavioral therapy to support those struggling with feelings of anxiety, depression or stress related disorders. I am also trained in supporting families affected by a loved one’s addiction/alcoholism. My third area of training is working with children and families to address emotional regulation, increased attunement and deeper connection.
I look forward to going to the office each day to discover how I can best support those who I have the privilege of meeting with.
Room for Resilience is grounded in providing an empathic, non-judgmental and professional space for people to come and feel understood and supported. Depending on what you are seeking, you will be matched with a clinician that can best meet your needs.
