About me
I have been a psychologist and certified sex therapist for forty years. I am well known as a clinician, supervisor, and trainer in LGBTQ+ mental health issues, including kinky and consensually nonmonogamous clients and transgender and nonbinary young people.
I have lived and worked as a queer therapist in the LGBTQ+ community for over forty years, and am known as an expert on many queer issues as well as the author of the Modern Clinician's Guide to Working With LGBTQ+ Clients. I am semi-retired and mostly do supervision, but I have a small private practice that is almost entirely virtual. I am known for being direct and up-front; I am warm but honest and I give lots of feedback. In addition to my training as a psychologist and AASECT-certified sex therapist and supervisor, I am skilled in EMDR and more recently ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. I work with adults and adolescents, couples (and other relationship structures) and families. I do not accept insurance, but I can give insurance-reimbursable receipts for clients with out of network insurance benefits. My fees are comparable to others in the NYC metro-area, and I offer a brief Zoom meeting for prospective clients to see if we are a good 'fit.'
