I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 30 years experience working with children and adults. I work with children age 7 and up to help children deal with trauma, depression, behavioral issues, anxiety and social skills. With adults, I specialize in identifying past traumas that may be effecting the quality of life, working collaboratively with the client to determine what they are seeking through counseling and providing evidence based therapy aimed at reducing discomfort and increasing the quality of life. I also specialize in adult transitions such as marriage, divorce, raising children, health issues and conflict resolution.

I believe that although therapy can be hard work, there can be joy in the work. I meet every client where they are in the present moment. I then guide the client towards finding out what they are most interested in working on. Some people will want to do a deep dive into past hurts, other people may just want to deal with the current situation. Regardless what your counseling goals are, together we can reach them. I am very interested in knowing the whole person and will go the extra mile to meet with parents, call schools or doctor offices and also provide each client with outside referrals if necessary. I focus on a humanistic, person-centered approach while integrating evidence based therapies such as Acceptance Commitment Therapy, CBT, and Solution Focused Therapy. The answers you are seeking are already inside of you but sometimes we need guidance to find them. I treat every client with compassion and true caring.
