About me
I'm a deaf LPC and CRC with professional experience in supported living, advocacy, and vocational rehabilitation. I also identify as a Native American so I understand some of the more difficult cultural oppressions we may experience. I'm all about recognizing and overcoming barriers.
Being deaf, I have a strong desire to help other deaf and hard of hearing people but this doesn't limit me from working with hearing people too. My clients are struggling to fit in in a world that's constantly changing and sometimes seems out to get us all. Clients who come to me are looking for support, knowledge, and growth to counter the challenges of every day life.
Being deaf and interacting with a hearing world every day gives me access to a broad range of experience while my professional training allows me to genuinely connect and help people properly.
Growing up deaf and being a part of the deaf community at a professional level has taught me that there is a lot to understand and that processing this can become such a strain. Stress can break us down and constant stress constantly breaks us down so why not just learn how to reduce that and live better?
