Marci Stringham, LCSW

I am an LCSW who helps teens and adults 12 and up with developing metacognition and helping them turn that insight and knowledge into action towards who they want to become. I have special certifications in ADHD and Trauma and am working on an EMDR certification.

I love people and I love their stories! As an LCSW I am constantly amazed by the resilience my clients demonstrate and feel it is an honor to collaborate with them on identifying their values and working through the obstacles in becoming who they want to be and how they want to function in the world. In my practice I have worked with many different issues including anxiety, depression, marriage/relationship issues, betrayal trauma, OCD, ADHD, faith journeys, parenting issues, unwanted pornography habits, grief and loss, loneliness, shame, trauma, and abuse. I can provide Christian counseling and speak Spanish (hablo Espanol). I believe in bringing humor and fun into my sessions and work to help my clients develop a coping skills toolbox that can benefit them in multiple different settings. I believe my clients are the experts in themselves and their experience I utilize a strengths-based approach in helping my clients develop psychological flexibility and emotional resilience.

In my work I utilize a number of different therapeutic modalities including Attachment Theory, Polyvagal Theory, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Exposure Response Therapy, Gottman, and various trauma informed models. I am working towards an EMRD certification. I am constantly researching and learning as I try to become the best resource I can be for my clients.

I am licensed in NJ, NY, PA, UT, TX, and ME. I know that finding a therapist can be like trying to find a good pair of shoes, it might be the right size but not the right fit. I am happy to do a brief consult to see if I am a good fit for you. I look forward to connecting!
