Marcela Roldan, LCSW

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker whose primary goal is to form a therapeutic alliance to help individuals develop a better understanding of themselves and identify what they require to generate the change needed to reach a better quality of life.

As a Latina immigrant and the founder/sole owner of Alianza Therapy, I have been able to develop a successful career in the field of social services with twenty-three years of experience. The professional settings I have worked in include foster care family agencies, non-profit health care organizations, social services agencies, and federal qualified health centers. My education consists of a Master of Science in Gerontology and a Master of Science in Social Work. I am licensed to practice psychotherapy in the state of California as a clinical social worker.
The psychotherapy style I use is based on a collaborative approach founded on the unique needs of each individual seeking therapy. Interventions come from a whole-person perspective taking into consideration each person’s values, culture, and racial/ethnic background. Using a non-judgmental view, my goal is to form a therapeutic alliance to help individuals develop a better understanding of themselves and identify what they required to generate the change needed to reach a better quality of life.
I am bilingual English/Spanish and I use an integrative approach to therapy based on an adaptation of several evidence-based treatment modalities.
