Welcome! I’m Maquira Oliver, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and therapist who believes that therapy should be a space where you can show up authentically—without judgment, pressure, or the expectation that you have everything figured out.

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and direct. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, relationship challenges, major life transitions, stress, and difficulties with emotional regulation. I have a particular interest in helping people understand how past experiences can influence their present relationships, behaviors, emotions, and sense of self.

I believe healing involves more than simply managing symptoms. Together, we can explore patterns, identify barriers, develop healthier coping strategies, and create meaningful changes that support the life you want to build. I integrate trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral approaches, solution-focused strategies, mindfulness, and other evidence-based interventions based on each client’s individual needs.

As a therapist, I value authenticity, honesty, accountability, and genuine human connection. I will support you while also encouraging you to challenge patterns that may no longer serve you. Therapy with me is not about perfection—it is about developing greater awareness, learning new ways of responding to life, and becoming more intentional about how you care for yourself and navigate your relationships.

Whether you are working through something that happened years ago, facing a difficult season right now, or simply recognizing that you want something different for your life, you do not have to have all the answers before beginning therapy.
