About me
I am a therapist with over 25 years of experience working with children and teenagers who is dedicated to helping children cope with anxiety and depression. I see clients individually and run several groups for various age groups to connect and learn from one another.
Is your child feeling anxious, stressed, struggling? Want to build their self-esteem, social skills, and create a growth mindset? Manda Galin, LCSW has over 25 years of experience working with children and adolescents. Whether treating a child with ADHD, anxiety, depression, grief, or and adjustment disorder, Manda is compassionate and relatable. She has worked with children and teenagers in the school system running groups and individual sessions, and has worked in private practice with children, teenagers and their families.
Manda uses Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Solution Focused therapy, Narrative Therapy, and uses Mindfulness work, games, play therapy, art therapy and more to meet the client where they are. An eclectic approach is important as each person and problem are individual.
As a mother and mentor, I know what it is like to feel like you have "tried everything" and you are not able to help your child. I love to meet the child where they are and have fun with them so that they are comfortable. I sit on the board of a child foster care respite, I mentor in the school system and I train mentors locally. I love what I do!
