Madisen Busenbark, LMFT

As an experienced Marriage and Family Therapist, I have a deep passion for loving and helping others access the resources necessary to create a meaningful and happy life through personal and relationship satisfaction.

Madisen is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the manager of the Payson office at Zest for Life Counseling, with over 10 years of experience in relationship and parenting education. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marriage and Family Studies from Brigham Young University-Idaho and a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Oklahoma State University. Madisen is certified to provide relationship, parenting, and co-parenting education and continuously seeks further learning and to then share her knowledge through workshops and therapy groups.

Madisen is passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families create a meaningful and happy life through personal and relational satisfaction. She specializes in marital distress, sexuality development, and supporting those navigating the intersection of faith and sexuality. She has particular interest in working with clients experiencing high conflict relational distress, navigating seemingly unreconcilable differences within self and between others, and seeking relationship enrichment. Madisen believes that everyone has the answers and resources within themselves, and she works collaboratively with clients to rediscover or refine those strengths.

With a compassionate and supportive approach, Madisen seeks to create a safe space for her clients. Working from the belief that you know yourself better than anyone, she understands that sometimes you may just need a little guidance in reconnecting with different parts of yourself and discovering a new way to articulate your needs. It is her hope that you will always feel understood, especially in times when she may challenge you. Life is difficult enough to navigate, she believes that we have no need to navigate it alone.

Madisen finds joy in her own life through sharing new experiences and trying new things. In her spare time, she enjoys connecting; with her partner and puppies through exploring new experiences on date nights, with the community through concerts, community and seasonal events, with family and friends through game nights-in and sharing a home cooked meal, and with herself through spending time in the mountains.
