About me
A neighbor who shows up.
From the wise mind of a personal inspiration, Mr. Rogers, Be My Neighbor Counseling was built on a simple belief: that everyone deserves a space where they are truly seen, heard, and welcomed — exactly as they are. No judgment. No pretense. Just honest, compassionate work toward the life you want.
I became a therapist because I believe in the profound capacity people have to heal — even after experiences that felt unsurvivable. My work is rooted in deep respect for the courage it takes to ask for help, and in the conviction that healing is not only possible, but within reach.
I specialize in working with adults and young adults who have experienced trauma, complex trauma, and domestic violence — as well as those navigating substance use and recovery. My approach is warm, direct, and grounded in evidence-based practice. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all model of therapy; I tailor our work to fit your life, your pace, and your goals.
I practice from a trauma-informed, person-centered framework, drawing on motivational interviewing, somatic awareness, Empowerment therapy, Liberation Psychology and grounding techniques. I believe that the therapeutic relationship itself is one of the most powerful tools for healing — and I take that responsibility seriously.
Outside of the therapy room, I'm a simple dog and cat parent. I believe in the healing power of open skies, quiet rivers, and the kind of neighbors who leave the porch light on. I like to hike, fish, bike, and ski when I can!
