Lyndsey Gear, MSW, LICSW

Hi! My name is Lyndsey Gear and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Massachusetts. I also hold a Masters of Social Work from Boston University, graduated in 2017. I have 11 years experience in the Social Work field working with teens, young adults, and adults. My current specialties include, but are not limited to, any individual struggling to cope with day to day living, decision making, anxiety, depression, PTSD, mental health concerns, substance abuse, domestic violence, parenting issues, communication conflicts.

My approach is tailored to the needs of each individual, while keeping their future goals in mind. I am judgement free and very open minded, your progress is my main goal. There are times I will challenge you when necessary and hold you accountable in order to guide you toward progress or in line with your self goals, but most importantly I am compassionate, empathetic, a good listener and will always be honest and transparent with you.

I truly feel that you should feel comfortable with your clinician so that your needs are best met and that you trust them enough to discuss your life concerns, as well as concerns for your treatment. If you are not included in treatment planning, then something is amiss. If I am doing something that you don't find helpful, I will gladly accept your feedback and re-group with another approach that may be better. While I don't have all the answers, I truly believe that together we can make progress and move toward your goals.
