About me
I am a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (under supervision) who enjoys working with individuals and couples facing a variety of concerns, including relationship distress, betrayal and trust issues, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, parenting challenges, life transitions, and questions of identity and purpose. I have a particular passion for helping people understand how their past influences their present relationships and helping couples reconnect when they feel disconnected, hurt, or stuck.
Life can be hard, relationships can be complicated, and sometimes the strategies that once helped us survive no longer help us thrive. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, or feeling stuck in patterns you can't seem to change, therapy can provide a space to better understand yourself and create meaningful change.
I believe people make sense when we understand their story. Many of the struggles we experience today are rooted in past experiences, relationships, and beliefs we developed long ago to help us navigate difficult circumstances. Together, we'll explore those patterns with curiosity rather than judgment.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, trauma-informed approaches, and attachment theory to help clients develop insight, strengthen relationships, and build healthier ways of coping. I strive to create a space where clients feel safe enough to be honest, challenged enough to grow, and supported enough to take meaningful risks.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years in another professional career. That experience allows me to appreciate the complexities of balancing work, family, relationships, caregiving, and personal growth throughout different stages of life. I understand that change is rarely simple, but I also believe people are capable of remarkable healing and resilience.
My goal is not to tell you what to do. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, identify what matters most to you, and move toward the life and relationships you want to create.
You don't have to navigate life's challenges alone. I would be honored to walk alongside you in the process.
