My Approach: Centered on You My practice is built on a positive, holistic, and person-centered philosophy. This simply means: • You're in Control: We move at your pace. I don't believe in a one-size-fit
I have over twenty five years of clinical experience in the behavioral health field. Why not seek to understand the connection between your thoughts, beliefs and interpretations.

My 25 years in the mental health field have significantly shaped my life, with the overarching goal of empowering individuals through essential skills and strategies. This mission is deeply inspired by Viktor Frankl's *Man’s Search for Meaning*, a book that profoundly influenced my transformation journey. I discovered it during my undergraduate studies, and it motivated me to pursue a career in the helping professions.

Frankl's insights, drawn from his harrowing experiences as a Holocaust survivor, offer a compelling exploration of the human experience, particularly the quest for meaning amid suffering. The book emphasizes several key principles:

### Themes

- **Existential Psychology**: Frankl introduces logotherapy, a psychotherapeutic approach that prioritizes the search for meaning as the central drive in human life.
- **Suffering and Resilience**: He argues that while suffering is an inescapable aspect of life, our responses to it can foster personal growth and a deeper sense of meaning.
- **Freedom of Choice**: Even in the most challenging situations, individuals have the capacity to choose their attitudes and reactions, which can cultivate a sense of purpose.
- **Meaning in Life**: Frankl identifies three primary avenues for finding meaning:
- **Through work or deeds**
- **Through experiences or encounters**
- **Through suffering itself, especially when faced with unavoidable pain**

Frankl's insights challenge the belief that life lacks meaning, suggesting that the pursuit of purpose is vital for psychological well-being.

This book serves as both a memoir and a psychological guide, prompting me to reflect on my own life. I strive to leverage my clinical training and personal experiences to empower others to understand and transform their lives, highlighting the significance they attribute to their experiences. It stands as a powerful reminder of the resilience of the human spirit.

Which aspect of Frankl's philosophy resonates with you the most?
