About me
I am an experienced behavioral health professional, educator, and consultant dedicated to advancing trauma-informed care, strengthening families, and equipping professionals with practical tools to support healing, resilience, and positive change.
Hello, and welcome.
I am Dr. Loutina Murrell, LMSW, CAMS, DVS, RAS-II, a behavioral health professional with more than 20 years of experience serving children, adolescents, adults, and families across diverse settings, including community mental health, child welfare, foster care and adoption services, family preservation, domestic violence intervention, and trauma-informed care.
As the Founder and Executive Director of Clinical Intervention Specialists (CIS), I am committed to helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges while building resilience, strengthening relationships, and achieving meaningful personal growth. My approach is compassionate, culturally responsive, strengths-based, and grounded in evidence-based practices.
My areas of specialization include trauma and trauma recovery, attachment and bonding, parenting and family relationships, child and adolescent behavioral concerns, ADHD, foster care and adoption-related issues, domestic violence, anger management, grief and loss, sexual trauma, and family reunification services. I also provide comprehensive assessments and evaluations, including parenting assessments, parental fitness evaluations, attachment and bonding assessments, trauma assessments, domestic violence assessments, and psychosocial evaluations.
In addition to direct clinical services, I am passionate about professional education, workforce development, clinical supervision, program development, and training the next generation of behavioral health professionals. I have worked extensively with community agencies, courts, schools, child welfare systems, and multidisciplinary teams to improve outcomes for children and families.
My goal is to create a supportive environment where individuals feel heard, valued, and empowered to move toward healing, growth, and lasting change.
I believe that every person has strengths, every family has hope, and every journey toward healing begins with a single step.
